The United States Department of Agriculture’s Food & Nutrition Service (FNS) provides a pre-screening tool to help you find out if you or others might be eligible to receive SNAP benefits. The tool is not an application for SNAP. But the tool can help you make an informed decision as to whether you or others should apply at your local SNAP office. PHILADELPHIA, April 3, 2009 - At the Reading Terminal Market in Philadelphia today, Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack announced that, on April 1, monthly benefits for the 32.2 million recipients of Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) increased.
